You've just bought a game like
Tony Hawks, or Fifa and you get it home and you find out
that playing that sort of game with a keyboard is very hard.
So you go looking for a good game pad which will for fill
your gaming needs. It can be a little daunting trying to
find a game pad you like, as there are so many out there.
what should you go for, playability, comfort, or style. Well
now here is the answer to you cry's, Logitech have come up
with this beauty, the Wingman cordless.
|
The Wingman Cordless, with its
2.4GHz cordless technology, and its 5m range is not far of
perfect. It has zero lag, which is something commonly found
among cordless devices. because if its power it takes 4 AA
batteries, which make it quite heavy for a game pad, but
this makes it feel like you are controlling something and
not stabbing at a hung of plastic. |
|
|
|
|
|
The size of the pad it perfect
to, the rear 4 trigger buttons lie just under you fingers
and the 2 highly sensitive and very responsive analogue
sticks, plus the 6 buttons and the d-pad are all under the
thumbs sweep. Plus the addition of the throttle slider at
the back is perfect for flight simulations of every sort. |
|
|
There is almost every button
possible on this game pad, but still it doesn't seem over
crowded and pointless. First there are the two lovely blue
analogue slicks which sit nicely placed in the middle of the
pad, this are very responsive and can be configured to do
what you like. Then there is the D-pad this is also very
responsive and not touch to press, there is also a mode
button so you can switch between using analogue and the
D-pad, like the PS2 controller. Also the 6 configurable
buttons are also very sensitive, it may not seem this way at
first, but they are very easily used, and don't need to be
bashed. The rear trigger buttons are conveniently positioned
just where you fingers lie for easy access. additionally the
throttle, which is places just above the top right trigger
button is easily used and well controlled.
In addition to all the buttons
on this pad, it has a rumble feature which is always a good
laugh, and give added realism to your gaming, especially
when you miss a trick on Tony Hawks and you fall to the
ground with a crunch, and a rumble.

Very
easy to hold, for me, but it is quite big and it would
be a little uncomfortable for some one with fairly small
hands, but only slightly. Also it is slightly heavy. |

Overall :

This could quite easily be the best game pad on
the market. When it comes to PC there is a large
choice of game pads, and this one rises above
any that I have used before. If you want to play
anything but First person shooters this peace of
kit is the one for you! |
